Safer Living.
Kristi Anderson, founder of SafeMind Living, is a survivor of a random violent crime who has spent more than 25 years studying safety, awareness, prevention, post-traumatic stress, and the long-term realities many survivors face after violent crime. She holds a degree in Psychology and gained extensive exposure to the criminal justice system and law enforcement after living 15 years with a Deputy District Attorney assigned to Homicide. This provided insight into violent offenders, investigations, prosecutions, and the court process.
Her attacker originally received two life sentences for attempted first-degree murder and burglary before the convictions were overturned on appeal. There were multiple victims, and multiple cases, yet the life sentences were overturned on appeal. He accepted a plea deal for 30 years and is currently on probation. He has a long history of violent crimes and repeat offenses and is expected to complete supervision in 2028.
SafeMind Living helps women, men, students, older adults, families, travelers, and survivors recognize risk earlier and build practical safety habits for everyday life.
